The Nueva Vizcaya State University – Red Cross Youth proudly joins the Philippine Red Cross, IFRC, ICRC, and the 191 National Societies around the world in celebrating International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2026.

This May 8th, we stand united with millions of volunteers, humanitarians, and advocates across the globe in honoring the world’s largest humanitarian movement — a movement built on compassion, courage, and humanity.

For over seven decades, the Philippine Red Cross has stood beside every Filipino family in times of disaster, conflict, and emergency. From the simple yet powerful vision of Jean Henry Dunant to the global humanitarian network we know today, the spirit of volunteerism and selfless service continues to inspire generations.

As members of the Red Cross Youth, we take pride in carrying the emblem not only as a symbol, but as a commitment to serve humanity without discrimination. Today is not merely a celebration of an organization; it is a celebration of every volunteer who chooses to help, every hand extended in times of need, and every heart willing to sacrifice for others.

Wherever there is suffering, crisis, or disaster, the Red Cross remains present — delivering impartial aid, hope, and care that truly comes from the heart.

“There should be voluntary relief societies in every country which would train to help in time of war, and there should be an international agreement to protect the wounded and those who care for them on the battlefield.”
— Jean Henry Dunant, A Memory of Solferino

The NVSU-Red Cross Youth salutes all 191 National Societies, volunteers, responders, and humanitarian workers around the world. Together with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), we remain committed to upholding humanity, volunteerism, and compassionate service.

Padayon sa paglingkod. Padayon sa pagligtas ng buhay.
United in Humanity. One Red Cross Movement.

NVSU-RCY | Message of Appreciation

With pride and deep gratitude, the Nueva Vizcaya State University – Red Cross Youth Council (NVSU-RCY) honors the unwavering dedication and leadership of our RCY President Arjhay Manuel , together with the steadfast commitment of our officers, advisers, and our ever-supportive Chapter Administrator RANDY G. BLANCO.

Behind every milestone achieved lies a story of sacrifice—of long nights, silent struggles, and selfless service. What once began as vision and effort has now transformed into a legacy of impact, proving that true leadership is not measured by titles, but by the lives touched and the service rendered with heart.

To our respected advisers and student advisers Sir. Jan Carlo Aloyodan Ma'am Nemalyn Grace Allupay Maraña, our guiding “tatay” Sir. Joel Gumangan Degamo sir. Gail Galamay Gumilet and “nanay,” ma'am Therese Corpuz ma'am Yunik Lasqueroand to our mentors and leaders who stood as pillars of strength your wisdom, patience, and belief in us shaped not only our organization but the individuals within it. You did not merely lead; you inspired, corrected, and empowered.

To our officers, the silent movers behind every success, your determination and action turned plans into reality. You proved that service is not about recognition, but about commitment to a cause greater than oneself.

From strengthening our presence across the university to expanding our reach through meaningful initiatives, NVSU-RCY has grown into more than an organization—it has become a force of compassion, volunteerism, and change.

This journey was recognized at the Student Organization Recognition 2026, where NVSU-RCY proudly received multiple distinctions, including:

* Certificate of Appreciation (Service Award)
* Rank 1 – Best Student Organization in Extension Activities
* Rank 2 – Best Student Organization in Projects (Blood Olympics)
* Rank 2 – Best Student Organization in Financial Management
* Rank 2 – Best Student Organization in Gender Inclusivity Initiative
* Rank 3 – Best Student Organization in Bidbook

These accolades stand not as mere titles, but as symbols of collective dedication, unity, and a shared mission to serve humanity.

As we celebrate this moment, we are reminded that this is not the end—but a beginning. A call to continue, to expand, and to serve even more communities with compassion and purpose.

Mabuhay ang NVSU-RCY.
Mabuhay ang Red Cross Youth.

At higit sa lahat buong tapang at puso nating isigaw na "TATAK NVSU-RCY"!
