📢Please Note❕Starting tomorrow (April 1, 2025), we will be STRICTLY implementing the following for proper monitoring & safety purposes:

1. ALL CLIENTS/WATCHERS/VISITORS
👉 Pls. log in & log out at the entrance before and after your transactions

2. ALL WATCHERS/VISITORS
👉 Pls. secure an ID/pass at the entrance before entering; NO PASS, NO ENTRY ❌
👉 We only allow 1 (one) watcher per patient; except for those patients needing the assistance of 2 watchers
👉1 to 2 visitors only at a time will be allowed per patient

Morning: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

In continuation of the celebration of Women's Month, 95 women out of 105 were qualified to undergo Pap smear at the Besao District Hospital yesterday. It started with a Welcome Remarks by Mayor Bryne Bacwaden. OB-Gyne specialists, Dr. Marjorie L. Chaokas and Dr. Beverly B. Viernes did the procedure while Dr. Ziprene W. Buyagan was around for ultrasound procedures and we thank you for these services.

Dr. Joy F. Dicdican ended the activity with her closing remarks and pasasalamat to everybody who made the event successful.

The smears were submitted to LHMRH for processing. The clients will be informed once results are in.

A Pap test is a procedure in which a small brush is used to gently remove cells from the surface of the cervix and the area around it so they can be checked under a microscope for cervical cancer or cell changes that may lead to cervical cancer. A Pap smear may also help find other conditions, such as infections or inflammation. It is usually done at the same time as a pelvic exam and may also be done at the same time as a test for certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV).
