PHU x OSHC: Workplace Safety and Health: From Awareness to Action (BATCH 2)

The Public Health Unit (PHU), in partnership with the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), proudly concludes Batch 2 of the DOLE Prescribed 8-hour Basic Occupational Health Training-Workshop for Safety Officers! 🦺📘✨

Held at the Library, 5th Floor, this batch continued our goal of strengthening workplace safety and building a more resilient institution.
This training is also part of our ongoing implementation of DOH Priority Area 7 – Violence and Injury Prevention, reinforcing our commitment to reducing workplace-related harms and promoting a safer environment for all.

📌 Training Highlights:
🔹 Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health
🔹 Recognizing Safety Hazards and Appropriate Control Measures
🔹 Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC)
🔹 Workplace Emergency Preparedness
🔹 Scenario-Based Analysis: Participants were given various workplace scenarios and were allotted time to analyze possible health risks and identify appropriate control measures for each situation.

Through these practical exercises, participants were able to apply their learning, improve critical thinking, and develop a more proactive approach to safety.

Together, we move closer to a safer, healthier, and injury-free workplace. 🙌💼✨

🦺📘✨ PHU x OSHC: Workplace Safety and Health: From Awareness to Action (BATCH 1)

The Public Health Unit (PHU), in collaboration with the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSHC), successfully conducted the 8-hours DOLE Prescribed Basic Occupational Health Training-Workshop for Safety Officers – Batch 1 today, December 2 at the Library, 5th Floor.

This seminar plays a vital role in our institution’s commitment to building a safe, healthy, and well-protected workplace. By enhancing the capability of our employees in occupational health and safety, we strengthen both individual competencies and the overall safety culture of the organization.

Importantly, this program forms part of the implementation of DOH Priority Area 7 – Violence and Injury Prevention, emphasizing our responsibility to reduce preventable injuries, promote safer work environments, and support national efforts in occupational safety.

Ngayong World AIDS Day, mahalagang malaman ang iyong HIV status upang maagap na makuha ang serbisyong makakatulong sa maayos na pamamahala nito.

Hatid ng DOH ang libreng serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa HIV, kabilang ang:
🛡️Combination prevention methods – condoms, lubricant, at PrEP
🔎 HIV screening at confirmatory testing
