Meet our inspiring couple from Las Navas, Northern Samar, who traveled 2 hours to reach our clinic. Their journey to parenthood was not easy, but their faith and determination paid off!

March 8, 2025: First visit to our clinic for consultation. Diagnosed with Hydrosalpinx (pagbabara at pamamaga ng Fallopian tube kung saan naiipon ang likido sa loob nito), yet they didn't give up.

Initial work-up and treatment began. Despite a failed ovulation induction cycle (first few treatments), they stayed hopeful. 🌟

August 19, 2025: The moment of truth! Pregnancy test revealed a POSITIVE RESULT! 🤰

Now at 8 weeks, their little miracle is thriving! 👶 Ultrasound showed a healthy baby with strong cardiac activity. 🙏

Nothing is impossible to those who believe.
Thank you, Lord, for this precious blessing!

Alamin kung paano mag-diagnose ng Diabetes Mellitus! 🤔💉

👨‍⚕Narito ang mga laboratory tests na ginagawa:

1) Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS):
Sinusukat ang blood sugar level pagkatapos ng 8-10 oras na pag-aayuno.

2) Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT): Sinusukat ang blood sugar level bago at pagkatapos uminom ng glucose drink.

3) Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c):
Sinusukat ang average blood sugar level sa loob ng 3 buwan.

4) Random Blood Sugar: Sinusukat ang blood sugar level anumang oras.

👨‍⚕lAno ang ibig sabihin ng resulta?

Pre-diabetes: FBS 100-125 mg/dL, OGTT 140-199 mg/dL, HbA1c 5.7-6.4%

Diabetes: FBS ≥126 mg/dL, OGTT ≥200 mg/dL, HbA1c ≥6.5%

MALUSOG NA PAGBUBUNTIS? SIMULAN NA ANG FOLIC ACID! 🌿🤰

🌸 ANO ANG FOLIC ACID?

Ang folic acid ay isang anyo ng folate, na isang bitamina B. Tinutulungan nito ang iyong katawan na gumawa ng mga bagong selula o cells (halimbawa, mga selula ng dugo, mga selula ng utak, balat, buhok, at mga kuko). Ang bawat bagong cell sa katawan ay nangangailangan ng folate.

🌸BAKIT MAHALAGA ANG FOLIC ACID SA PAGBUBUNTIS?

Ang folic acid ay mahalaga sa maagang pagbubuntis, dahil nakakatulong ito sa neural tube—na nagiging utak at gulugod—na bumuo. Ito ang tanging anyo ng folate na ipinakita upang makatulong na maiwasan ang mga malubhang depekto sa panganganak na tinatawag na neural tube defects (NTDs). Ang mga NTD ay mga pangunahing depekto ng kapanganakan ng utak ng sanggol (tulad ng anencephaly) at gulugod (tulad ng spina bifida).

🌸ANO ANG INIREREKOMENDANG DOSIS O DOSAGE AT KAILAN BA DAPAT UMIINOM NG FOLIC ACID?

Ang kasalukuyang rekomendasyon ay 4 mg ng folic acid araw-araw. Dito sa Pilipinas, ang available ay 5mg.

Dapat mong simulan ang pag-inom ng folic acid tatlong buwan bago magbuntis at ipagpatuloy ang pag-inom ng folic acid sa unang tatlong buwan ng pagbubuntis (or first 12 weeks of pregnancy).
