Join us for the third session of our Foundations First Series at SKH Valenzuela: “Following Your Child’s Lead: Promoting Communication in the Early Years of Childhood.”

This session will be led by T. Paula Marisse Diwa-Dela Cruz, RSLP 👩‍⚕️, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Director of Management. She will guide parents, caregivers, and educators through practical strategies to recognize and follow a child’s natural interests—transforming everyday routines into meaningful opportunities for communication and bonding.

The second session of our Foundation First Series is entitled “From Blueprint to Reality: Practical Approaches to Environment Modification.” This session will be facilitated by Ms. T. Pia Clarisse Dela Cruz, OTRP, a licensed Occupational Therapist and the current Social Media Manager of MINDLAB.

Through this session, participants will be introduced to research-informed and practical strategies for modifying home and learning environments to better support children’s developmental and behavioral needs. We’re excited to announce first workshop for Cycle 3 of “The Parent Lab” at SKH Valenzuela

The Parent Lab is a parent-focused program featuring two distinct workshop series designed to guide and empower families navigating neurodiversity 💡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Our first series, Foundations First, offers practical, beginner-friendly workshops that build understanding, confidence, and connection for parents and caregivers supporting children with diverse developmental needs 🌈👣.

Our opening session, "Therapy 101: Introduction to Therapy" 🧠✨ will be facilitated by T. Paula Marisse Dela Cruz, Director of Management and a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist 👩‍⚕️. We are delighted to recognize our Special Education Teacher, Teacher Bell, LPT, for successfully completing the Learning Without Tears: Handwriting Assessment Training held at Acacia Hotel, Alabang last August 15–17, 2025. 📚✍🏼

This training aims to equip educators with effective tools to evaluate and guide learners in strengthening their handwriting skills through fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate methods that make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. 😊🧠

By emphasizing readiness and multisensory strategies, we look forward to applying this program in helping children build strong handwriting foundations and supporting them step by step in their educational growth.
