Madami ang kumakalat sa online na nagbebenta ng mga:

1. Frames with anti-radiation lens/blue light filtering lens. Ngunit HINDI po iyon totoong anti-radiation/blue light filtering lens at di hamak na DEMO LENS lamang. Hindi iyon optical lens at maaari pang makasira sa mata. Lenses are PRESCRIBED by doctors and are not ready made. What they sell online are FAKE. 2. Frames which they called nano ion spec na nakaka pag pagaling daw sa iba’t ibang diseases ng mata. WALA pong salamin ang may kakayahan na makapag pagaling sa mga serious eye conditions gaya ng Glaucoma, Cataract, atbp. Here's the FDA Advisory No. 2020-1435

3. Hyssop eye drops na nakakapag palinaw daw ng mata at nakaka pag pagaling ng iba't ibang sakit sa mata. Again, this product is NOT FDA approved. And doctors don't prescribe this! You don't know the long term effect of using this product. Here's the FDA Advisory No. 2019-189

4. Colored contact lenses na nabibili online are also NOT FDA approved. There is proper handling of contact lenses, and your doctor will help you with it. From what type of contact lens you need, wearing hours, expiry date, do's and dont's, to follow up check-up, etc. Anong habol mo sa online if something went wrong with your eyes or worst, if it cause permanent damage to your eyes?

5. Used contact lenses!! 😰 Yes someone online are selling theirs at may nag rerespond na buyers sakanila 😰 Please don’t do this. 🤮 You only have two eyes. Take care of them.

These could seriously harm and damage your eyes!! So please, do not be deceived by their misleading advertisements and health claims.

An 18-year-old female student, who uses 'anti-radiation lens' bought online, spent 3-6 hours looking at digital screens for her online class with the use of ring light and 2-4 hours for digital leisure every day (as she was confident that her eyes were protected), came, complaining of teary eyes, photophobia (sensitivity to light), eye pain, redness, burning sensation, and blurry vision.

A classic case of UV induced keratitis and Dry eyes, due to too much exposure to lights and digital screens without proper eye protection.

Always wear your prescribed UV and Blue Light Filtering lenses, beware of counterfeited, and online-claimed anti-radiation lenses.
