A low-protein diet can benefit individuals with kidney disease by reducing the workload on their kidneys, slowing the progression of kidney damage, and potentially delaying the need for dialysis.
It involves reducing protein intake, often to between 4-8% of daily calories (around 20-50 grams per day).

EARLY SYMPTOMS of Kidney Disease…

How do i know i have kidney disease?
Kidney diseases are notorious for having nonspecific signs and symptoms such as fatigue, lost appetite, back pain, or frequent urination, however majority are actually ASYMPTOMATIC!

But don’t fret, it’s Eeeeeasy…
1. Know if you’re at risk: If you have the 2 most common causes of kidney disease, namely HYPERTENSION and DIABETES, you should have kidney function screening at the onset of diagnosis
2. Kidney function screening: Blood pressure, Urine analysis, and (blood) Creatinine

If any of these are abnormal, consult your friendly neighborhood NEPHROLOGIST (kidney specialist) to cater your treatment based on your individual needs.
What's good about early detection is that most are reversible, and therefore end stage disease requiring DIALYSIS can be prevented.

P.S. Don’t resort to any Herbal meds, if you have ANY DISEASE for that matter, herbals are only good for prevention, i.e you still don’t have any disease.

Stay healthy, stay safe! ❤️

What do i mean when i say RENAL DIET?..It basically means LOWer volumes of 3 important but deleterious (in excess) substances: Salt, Protein, & Phosphorus.

You can achieve this in just 2 doable ways:
1. Avoid processed foods, fast and slow foods (all high in salt & phosphorus) - therefore HOME-COOKED meal is best! Where u can control the amount of salt and protein quality incorporated in it.
2. Opt for PLANT-based source of protein. They have high biologic value and produce lower uremic toxins than animal sources (meat&dairy). Examples are: Tofu, Soy milk, Beans, Nuts, Oats, Brown rice, and protein-rich fruits & veggies (mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, sweet potato, guava, bananas - to name a few)
..If you are not used to this kind of diet, better start trying, have enough discipline as benefits are huge (as ive seen it in my responsible-enough patients): it lowers antihypertensive requirements, delays onset of dialysis, prolongs residual renal function when already on dialysis, improves quality of life and even improves overall prognosis.
Hence i cant emphasize these enough!❤️
