Unveiling the Dr. Manuel O. Estacio Center for Nuclear Medicine
The inauguration of the Dr. Manuel O. Estacio Center for Nuclear Medicine marks a major step forward in advancing diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare in the Caraga region. This state-of-the-art facility honors the vision and lifelong dedication of our founder, Dr. Manuel O. Estacio, whose remarkable foresight helped pave the way for accessible, innovative, and compassionate patient care.
Equipped with modern nuclear imaging technology and staffed by expert medical professionals, the center will offer precise diagnostic scans, advanced molecular imaging, and targeted radionuclide therapies. Its establishment reinforces our commitment to early disease detection, improved treatment options, and elevated standards of careโespecially for patients with cancer, cardiac conditions, and metabolic disorders.
Yesterdayโs event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by BDH President/CEO Dr. Dick Estacio and BDH CFO Dr. Therese Estacio, together with City Mayor Hon. Law Fortun. This was followed by the unveiling of the commemorative plaque by Dr. Estacio and the blessing officiated by Fr. John Young.
A lecture symposium capped the celebration, featuring discussions on the current landscape of nuclear medicine in the Philippines, basic concepts in the field as well as emerging advancements in Theranostics.
