Started the year giving "Surviving Trauma and Abuse" talk to a group of moms, a topic that is very close to my heart. And I'm so grateful that I will end the year giving the same talk to the Women and Children Protection Unit.

It has been a very fulfilling year to me, and pushed my boundaries by constantly telling my abuse story to reach out and encourage people to heal and stop the cycle of pain.

Was it easy? It never was. I always get emotional whenever I share my pain and the process that I went through. But I'm always grateful whenever I get a chance to talk about this topic, because I know someone might desperately need to hear it.

The way I would have desperately need to hear it during the darkest and the most painful days of my life.

I'm thankful as well for all the people who trusted me with their pain, I will be forever grateful for the healing journey that we've shared. Some had found enlightenment, some still drowning in their pain. Yet I'm very hopeful that someday they will find peace in their hearts.

Always remember not to let your past, pain, and mistakes define you. You are worthy, you are deserving, and you are definitely more than enough.

Keep healing, keep inspiring.

TRIGGER WARNING: MENTIONS R**E

MAY R**E DAHIL MAY RA**ST [R**e exists because of ra**sts]

May r**e dahil may ra**st. May krimen dahil may kriminal.

May r**e dahil may ra**st. May r**e dahil manyak.

G.R. No. 191253 August 28, 2013

PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES, Plaintiff-Appellee,
vs.
APOLINARIO MANALILI y JOSE, Accused-Appellant.

PEREZ, J.:

The ABSENCE of laceration and semen DOES NOT preclude the fact that r**e has been committed.

In the crime of r**e, complete or full pe*******on of the complainant’s private part is not at all necessary.
Neither is the rupture of the h***n essential. What is fundamental is that the entry or at the very least the introduction of the male organ into the l***a of the pudendum is proved.

The mere introduction of the male organ into the l***a majora of the complainant’s va**na, consummates the crime.

Likewise, the absence of semen in AAA’s va**nal area would not preclude a finding of r**e. The presence or absence of spermatozoa is immaterial because the presence of spermatozoa is not an element of r**e. Moreover, it has been held that the absence of spermatozoa in the va**na could be due to a number of factors, such as the vertical drainage of the semen from the va**na, the acidity of the va**na or the washing of the va**na immediately after sexual in*******se.

G.R. No. 195239 March 7, 2012

PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES, Plaintiff-Appellee,

vs.

BEN RUBIO y ACOSTA, Accused-Appellant.

VELASCO, JR., J.:

"a medical examination of the victim is not indispensable in a prosecution for r**e inasmuch as the victim’s testimony alone, if credible, is sufficient to convict the accused of the crime. In fact, a DOCTOR'S CERTIFICATE is MERELY CORROBORATIVE in character and NOT an indispensable requirement in proving the commission of r**e."

The presence of healed or fresh h***nal laceration is NOT AN ELEMENT OF R**E

G.R. No. 217101, February 12, 2020

LBC EXPRESS-VIS, INC., PETITIONER, VS. MONICA C. PALCO, RESPONDENT.

LEONEN, J.:

An employee is considered CONSTRUCTIVELY DISMISSED if he or she was sexually harassed by her superior and her employer failed to act on his or her complaint with prompt and sensitivity.
