Dear Sandy girl,
You were the very definition of strength and resilience. Despite your age and the challenges brought on by your illness, you remained the sweetest girl—never once complaining. We never feared a bite from you, even as you endured every needle prick and procedure meant to ease your pain. You fought quietly, with a strength that left us in awe.
For the past few months, you’ve been in and out of the hospital—fighting, healing, then fighting again. And each time, like the brave soul you were, you stood back up.
But now, as we feared, your journey here has come to an end. How’s heaven, sweet girl?
Thank you, Sandy, for inspiring us. Your story reminded us of the importance of giving our very best—especially to senior patients who rely on our compassion and care when they can no longer express their pain.
To your loving fur-parents, thank you—for your unwavering trust, for allowing us to be part of Sandy’s journey, and for giving her a life full of love and dignity.
Her passing may have been inevitable, but her memory fuels our purpose.
Because of Sandy, we are more determined than ever to provide the kind of veterinary care every beloved pet deserves—gentle, respectful, and full of heart.
Run free now, Sandy. You will always have a place in our hearts.🤍🩶

Did You Know?
A distemper titer test measures the level of antibodies in your dog’s blood to check if they have protective immunity against Canine Distemper Virus (CDV).
This test is especially useful when:
✅ Your pet’s vaccination history is unknown
✅ You're worried about vaccine side effects
✅ You want to avoid unnecessary booster shots
💡 Why it matters now:
During the cooler, wet season, diseases like kennel cough and distemper are more common. Make sure your furry friend is protected — consider getting their titer levels checked!
🩺 Talk to your vet today about titer testing. Prevention is always better than cure.
Walk in patients are welcome.

Yoonah's Journey to Healing 🐾

Our dear patient Yoonah, a 13-year-old Shih Tzu, was diagnosed with a mammary tumor and an umbilical hernia. Given her age and condition, her case required delicate but decisive intervention.

Yoonah bravely underwent major surgery under gas anesthesia, which included a successful ovariohysterectomy, umbilical hernia repair, and mammary tumor removal. Her resilience throughout the procedure and recovery was truly remarkable.

After a week of close monitoring and post-operative care in the hospital, Yoonah was finally discharged — going home to the arms of her loving family, tail wagging and spirit bright.
At her age, every step of this journey was significant — and we are honored to be part of it. 💛

✨ Let Yoonah’s story serve as a gentle reminder: early detection can save lives. Regular wellness check-ups are especially important for senior pets, as they help catch health issues before they become more serious.

"Perhaps the truest joy in a veterinarian's heart lies not only in healing,
but in the quiet triumph of a wagging tail,
and the tearful smile of a pet parent relieved.
For though our patients have no words,
they feel the weight of pain in silence —
and their stillness speaks volumes.
To witness the gentle reunion,
the spark of life return,
is to be reminded:
this is more than a profession —
it is a bridge between love and life."

Thank you Fino and Mam Jehesial! for sharing your vet visit with us today. We are happy for Fino's recovery thus sharing his story today. 💙❤️

Do Not Feed Bones to Dogs!

Feeding bones to dogs can cause serious health issues. Bones may lead to impaction or obstruction of the colon, which can result in severe abdominal pain and may require emergency veterinary care.

For your pet’s safety, avoid giving them bones—no matter how tempting it may seem.

Leptospirosis Alert for Pet Owners in Cabanatuan City

Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial disease that poses a growing threat to pets—and people—in Cabanatuan City. It can cause severe kidney and liver damage, and in some cases, can be fatal. Even more concerning, it’s zoonotic, meaning it can be transmitted from animals to humans.

What Pet Owners Should Know:

🦠 Understanding Leptospirosis
How it Spreads:

Through contact with urine from infected animals (wildlife, rodents, or other pets)

Exposure to contaminated water (puddles, ponds, streams) or wet soil

Bacteria enter via mucous membranes (mouth, nose, eyes) or wounds

Symptoms in Dogs:

Fever
Lethargy, depression, weakness
Vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite
Increased thirst and urination (may decrease with kidney failure)
Joint/muscle pain, reluctance to move
Jaundice (yellowing of eyes, gums, or skin)
Nasal and eye discharge
In severe cases: organ failure, bleeding disorders, breathing difficulty

Cats: Rarely show symptoms but can still carry the bacteria.
---

✅ Prevention is Key

To protect your pets and family, take the following steps:

1. 💉 Vaccinate Your Dog

Consult your local vet about the leptospirosis vaccine
Requires an initial series + annual boosters

2. 🚫 Avoid Contaminated Water

Keep pets away from puddles, stagnant water, and streams
Bring clean water during outdoor walks

3. 🐭 Practice Rodent Control

Seal trash, store pet food securely, and prevent rodent entry

4. 🦝 Limit Wildlife Contact

Keep pets away from wild animals and carcasses

5. 🧼 Maintain Good Hygiene

Wash hands after handling pets, especially if exposed to wet environments
Clean indoor accidents using a 1:10 bleach solution
Wear gloves and discourage dogs from urinating in public/shared areas

⚠️ What to Do If You Suspect Leptospirosis

Contact a Vet Immediately if your pet shows symptoms
Report any possible exposure to your vet
Take human health precautions—avoid direct contact with your pet’s urine and consult a doctor if exposed

---

📍 Local Risk

While exact pet infection rates in Cabanatuan City are unknown, the Philippine Department of Health has reported rising human cases of leptospirosis in Nueva Ecija, confirming the bacteria’s presence in the environment.
---

🐾 Protect Your Pets. Protect Your Family.

With vigilance and preventive care, you can significantly reduce the risk of leptospirosis for your beloved animals.
