Prison break for toothache:
Swedish Inmate Escapes To Go To The Dentist
Anyone who's had a bad toothache completely understands this guy...
A Swedish prisoner had been complaining about a toothache for days, but the prison wasn't doing anything about it. If you've ever had tooth pain, you know there's literally nothing else you can think about.
So he did what any desperate person would do - he escaped.
He found a dentist, got his tooth treated, felt human again, and then voluntarily walked back into prison to turn himself in.
Plot twist: He was scheduled to be released the very next day.
But because he technically escaped, they had to add an extra day to his sentence.
So this man literally extended his own prison time by 24 hours because he couldn't wait one more day for relief from that relentless, throbbing pain.
The Swedish justice system probably didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the paperwork.
