Yesterday (5/27/2025), in line with the Hypertension Awareness Month and the Celebration of World Family Doctors Day, the Department of Family and Community Medicine successfully conducted a Hypertension Module Lecture at the Rizal Municipal Conference Room in Nueva Ecija! 💪🌿

This important initiative was for our dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of the Municipality of Rizal — our vital partners in promoting community health and wellness. 🏥👣

💬 Spreading Awareness, One Community at a Time 🌱💬

In celebration of Earth Day 2025, Dr. Mariel Cara-Paulino, a resident of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Dr. PJGMRMC, conducted a timely and insightful lay fora on greenhouse gases and their impact on human health last May 14, 2025, at the Super Health Center in Rizal, Nueva Ecija. 🏥🌿

Her talk highlighted how greenhouse gas emissions—though unseen—are major contributors to climate change, deteriorating air quality, and increasing health risks in our communities. ☁️🔥

Dr. Cara-Paulino’s dedication to planetary health advocacy is truly inspiring. Through community education, she continues to bridge environmental awareness and public health, one barangay at a time. 💚

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the successful presentation of Dr. Eunice De Vera-Bautista at the 26th WONCA Asia Pacific Regional Conference 2025 held in BPEX, Busan, Korea! 🇰🇷

Representing both excellence and dedication in Family and Community Medicine, Dr. De Vera-Bautista, a 2nd year resident of the Department of Family and Community Medicine of Dr. PJGMRMC presented her remarkable case report titled:

That’s a wrap!

Residents of the Department of Family and Community Medicine of the DR. PJGMRMC along with residents from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Triage Officers from the Emergency Department completed a 3-day training on Advance Life Support on Obstetrics (ALSO) conducted by the Rio Bravo Family Medicine Residency Training Program (UCLA-affiliate) held on October 8-10, 2024 at Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Verna Marquez, Dr. Eric Zamora, Dr. Michael Ozoemena and Dr. Keme Okojie of the Rio Bravo Family Medicine Residency Training Program for extending this training to our residents.
