How’s your IUD? 😍

Clinic Procedure: IUD Removal 🩺

Mapapansin niyo, mas mahaba ang string ng IUD na ito kumpara sa usual na nakikita natin. 😅 Parang buhok na overdue na sa trim.

Ang IUD ay nailagay 3 years ago, kasabay ng kanyang CS delivery. Unfortunately, hindi siya nakabalik sa OB para sa regular follow-up.

A few months ago, napansin niya ang paulit-ulit na mabahong discharge, kaya nag-decide siyang ipatanggal ang IUD at magpalit ng family planning method. Kapag may kakaiba, pakinggan ang katawan.

💡 So, paano nga ba inaalagaan ang IUD na nilagay pagkatapos manganak?

Kapag ang IUD ay post-partum insertion, kailangan itong ma-check after 6–8 weeks.
Bakit?
👉 Dahil ang matres na kakapanganak lang ay unti-unting liliit (involution).
👉 Habang lumiliit ang matres, puwedeng bumaba ang IUD at humaba ang string.

Sa follow-up visit:
✔️ Chine-check ang tamang pwesto ng IUD.
✔️ Ina-adjust o pinuputol ang haba ng string kung kailangan. Yes, may haircut talaga.

🚨 Magpatingin agad kung may:
• Malakas na pagdurugo.
• Mababahong discharge.
• Lagnat.
• Biglang pagsakit ng puson.
• Hindi makapa ang string.
• O may hinalang buntis kahit may IUD.

✨ Important reminder:
Ang IUD ay safe at very effective na family planning method. Hindi ito delikado.
Ang importante, huwag itong mapabayaan at magpa-check regularly.

🤔 “Ang IUD ba ay para sa akin?”
Depende ito sa katawan, lifestyle, at plans mo. Iba-iba tayo, kaya best pa rin na mag-usap kayo ng OB para mahanap kung anong family planning method ang pinaka-angkop para sa’yo.

Pero teka… paano ka nga ba magde-develop ng personality kung wala kang time management? 😅 Personality upgrade, not sleep deprivation.

Para sa mga mommies na sanay sa afternoon hanggang hatinggabi na clinic
(yes, hello sa puyat club 👋 lifetime member 😌), I’m slowly adjusting my clinic hours to morning hanggang afternoon.

Para may:
• time sa sarili 🧘‍♀️ (na hindi nagmamadali)
• time sa pamilya ❤️ (na gising pa)
• at mas malinaw na isip, para mas maayos mag-alaga at mag-manage ng cases

Assurance lang: matitignan pa rin lahat ng pasyente, same care and attention as always. Oras lang ang magbabago. 😊

So please, samahan niyo pa rin ako sa clinic gaya ng dati. 💕
Kasi, let’s be honest, mas maganda ang decisions kapag hindi lutang.

Lakas na hinuhubog ng pananampalataya at pagmamahal ng isang ina.❤️

Na-ectopic ang first pregnancy.
Na-diagnose ng Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
Na-diagnose ng APAS ni Dr. Becky ✝️ (may her soul rest in peace).
At kinailangan ng cerclage at 12 weeks.

Hindi madali. Mabibigat na diagnosis, mahahabang araw ng paghihintay, maraming dasal. Pero sa gitna ng lahat, malinaw ang isang bagay — tinawag si Ange sa isang mas mataas na tungkulin. ✨

Ito ang kwento ng isang ina na piniling magtiwala kahit may takot, magpakatatag kahit pagod, at magmahal bago pa man maisilang — hanggang sa dulo, nag-labor at matagumpay na nanganak via normal delivery.
Ange, ang lakas mo ay tahimik pero malalim — lakas na hinuhubog ng pananampalataya at pagmamahal ng isang ina. 🌸

Ano nga ba ang CERCLAGE?

CERCLAGE para sa ating pasyente na 12 weeks pregnant na may vaginal bleeding. Naka-bukas na din ang cervix niya ng 1-2cm kaya kinakailangan itong nasabing procedure para maiwasan ang pagtuloy-tuloy na pagbukas nito.

Kung hindi qualified para sa cerclage ang isang pasyente, pwede din maglagay ng PESSARY o mechanical device na pangharang sa cervix upang ‘di ito magtuloy-tuloy sa pagbukas.
