An example of our daily management as your Municipal Health Office at Work.

Good Day Fellow Cabatuanenses.

This is an urgent matter that needs discussion and IMMEDIATE clarification.

As of today, the current classification of our Cabatuan CoViD-19 Facilities are QUARANTINE "STEP-DOWN" Facility as classified by DOH.

We are capable of providing basic medical needs and care for patients who have contracted CoViD-19 and who are subsequently falling within those having Mild Symptoms and Asymptomaitc, or on the road to recovery that came from hospital admissions.

Recently, a clamor of non-medical persons regarding the use of Intravenous Fluids (IVF) to facilitate "FASTER" recuperation.

THIS IS FALSE!

The use of IVF is a highly technical, albeit, simple procedure to address a medical problem related to:
1. Dehydration
2. Electrolyte Imbalance
3. Maintenance of Venous Access (for emergency Cases)

Dehydration:
Dehydration is a technical medical term that is classified into Mild, Moderate, and Severe. Even in these situations, absence of any inability to orally hydrate DOES NOT WARRANT use of IVF.

Electrolyte Imbalance:
One quick way to correct electrolyte imbalance is through the use of crystalloids - and even at that - placed under closed monitoring. Excess of any electrolyte is still considered imbalance, and can present with more problems that solutions.

As mentioned, our facilities cater to patients as classified above. All of them don't warrant the use of IVF.

Why?
A stern reminder that our facility is not a hospital. We have no capability to closely monitor patients undergoing IVF therapy. If unregulated, patients can suffer with OVERHYDRATION, air embolism, or IVF Site infection. All of which are fatal and can kill a patient.

IVF IS NOT A MAGIC SOLUTION. Again...

ANG SWERO AY HINDI MAGIC SOLUTION na nagpapagaling.

Rest assured that we are doing our best, within our capacity, and for the benefit of all our patients. Our management may not agree with your known "usual" management, but it is the ideal.

We are all medical professionals here, and are utilizing our knowledge to best address this pandemic issues.

Fear mongering and proliferating FAKE NEWS is not only unnecessary, but highly irrelevant.

Trust in us doctors and nurses. This is what we do.

Teachers are meant to teach, businessmen are experts in business.

If you have any concerns, feel free to pay me a visit at my office and we will civilly discuss your inquiries, With or without TULFO.
