From October 7–10, the 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗕𝗥𝗚𝗛𝗚𝗠𝗖) came together to commemorate 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 and 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆, with a series of meaningful and restorative activities promoting mental wellness for both patients and employees.

The celebration featured 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗷𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 for employees. Older persons also enjoyed free haircut services through the “𝙇𝙪𝙥𝙞𝙩 𝙂𝙪𝙥𝙞𝙩” activity. The week-long event culminated in the 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙁𝙪𝙣 𝙍𝙪𝙣, attended by over 50 employees, and formally opened by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗖. 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗼, 𝗝𝗿., 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗜𝗜.

This celebration reinforces the importance of sustaining the mental resilience of healthcare workers, whose strength and compassion remain crucial in every crisis and emergency. Together, we continue to build a healthier, more resilient, and compassionate community. 💚✨

The Bicol Region General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center (BRGHGMC), spearheaded by the Geriatric Core Team, joyfully celebrated Elderly Filipino Week last October 1–7, 2025, with a week-long series of fun-filled, community-engaging, and meaningful events. 💛

Each activity reminded us that aging is not about slowing down, but about living with meaning, grace, and pride.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined and made this celebration truly special — our beloved seniors, dedicated staff, and supportive partners who continue to embody the spirit of “Embracing Age.”

As part of our continued commitment to safeguard the health and well-being of our workforce. the Cancer Control Program, in partnership with the 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙮𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 and 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩, will conduct a free Cervical Cancer Screening (VIA Screening).
