FIRST NON-SCALPEL VASECTOMY (NSV) PERFORMED AT JRBGH
The Women’s Reproductive Health Clinic (WRHC)—also known as the Family Planning Clinic of J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH)—proudly announces a significant expansion of its services with the successful completion of its first vasectomy procedure.
This milestone was performed using the modern Non-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) technique, a minimally invasive approach that ensures enhanced patient comfort, safety, and faster recovery.
The procedure was conducted by our newly NSV-certified provider, Dr. Arch Thor Ponce, who is also the Head of the Surgery Department of JRBGH. He was assisted by the Family Planning Coordinator, Ms. Ruby Socorro Navales, RN. The operation was likewise observed by Dr. Detta Socorro Cabrezos, OB-GYNE Department Head and Head of the WRHC, underscoring JRBGH’s commitment to delivering comprehensive and high-quality reproductive health care.
This achievement goes beyond a procedural first—it represents JRBGH’s dedication to growing as a comprehensive reproductive health service provider, offering a full range of informed, safe, and inclusive family planning options for individuals and couples.
