Every day, we use our mouths in countless ways, and a healthy mouth makes life more enjoyable.

To raise awareness about the importance of lifelong oral care, the Provincial Health Office of Misamis Oriental and PHO Mis. Or. - Dental Health Service have partnered with other stakeholders to empower communities through oral health education.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Xavier University College of Medicine and Lanao Elementary School of Alubijid for organizing todayโ€™s Oral Health Awareness Campaign.

This initiative will greatly aid in our campaign in strengthening preventive care, importance of maintaining good dental hygiene and healthy smiles, thus achieving the Ngiting 7020 of the Department of Health.

Cosin Masonic Lodge #308 of the Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines donated a 32-inch Smart TV and a mobile stand to the Oral Health Program of the Provincial Health Office of Misamis Oriental, to enhance health education, public awareness, and outreach activities across the province.

The inclusion of a mobile stand ensures that this device can be used not only at health facilities but also at various locations in the communities across Misamis Oriental.โ€

The equipment will allow for the display of educational materials, health messages, and awareness videos during community outreach and school visits โ€” promoting a stronger connection between oral health professionals and the public.

Bye-bye tooth decay: Municipality of Manticao joins the Provincial Health Office of Misamis Oriental thru our Oral Health Program. A program that cuts across all life cycle and also integrated in the โ€˜Garantisadong Pambata Program."

The oral health activity dub "Toothbrushing Drill 2025" aims to teach children, teachers and parents to develop healthy habits to keep their teeth healthy until old age.

This observance is dedicated to promote awareness about the importance of oral hygiene, encouraging preventive dental care, and fostering a culture of healthy smiles across the province.

We are also thankful that oral health is integrated in the Garantisadong Pambata Program because this is one aspect of overall wellness of a child that has been left out. Oral health is part of overall wellness and nutrition where it is impossible for a child to become totally healthy when the first line of defense which is oral health is problematic. If a child has an oral health problem, he or she cannot eat food which will be the source of nutrients.

This campaign aims to raise awareness among parents and caregivers on the importance of oral health, child nutrition, disease prevention, and regular supplementation, ensuring that every child in the community grows strong, healthy, and protected.

Utilization of Mobile Dental Vehicle (MDV) for Oral Healthcare

The Province of Misamis Oriental boast of 4 mobile dental vehicles (2 cities, 1 municipality and 1 PHO), all of which are still functional and serving our fellow misamisnon. MDV's were adopted by the Department of Health (DOH) and subsequently given to selected LGU'S to address the oral healthcare needs of different populations.

Provincial Health Office of Misamis Oriental is commited to safeguard and keep on rolling these vehicle to benefit everyone in the province with the help of our Dental Team. ๐Ÿฆท

The Medina Municipal Jail extends its sincere gratitude to all partner agencies, medical professionals, and volunteers for their continuous support to the facility.

The Mission forms part of a series of activities lined up for National Correctional Consciousness Week (NACOCOW) 2025, aimed at strengthening community involvement, health awareness, and support for the welfare and development programs of the BJMP, which our dear Gov.
