MR-SIA Launching
MR–SIA KICK-OFF at Barangay Bulua Gym
What is MR–SIA?
MR stands for Measles–Rubella (German Measles)—a serious and highly contagious disease that commonly affects children. It can lead to severe complications but is preventable through vaccination.
The Barangay Bulua Health Center, led by our Medical Office III (MO) Doc Hiram Gaven G. Abella and Public Health Nurse II (PHN) Mrs. Katrina Ann D. Pangadlin, together with the BHWs and BNS, will conduct the Measles–Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR–SIA) starting January 19 to February 13, 2026, covering all zones of Barangay Bulua.
Children aged 6–59 months are encouraged to get vaccinated at the nearest fixed post. The vaccine is FREE, SAFE, and EFFECTIVE in protecting against Measles and Rubella.
Vaccination is protection for a safe and healthy future for our children.
Aligned with the 8-Point Agenda:
📌 Immunization:
Ensure wide and complete vaccination coverage against preventable diseases such as Measles and Rubella, including priority diseases under the DOH Sulong Kalusugan strategy.
📌 Nutrition:
Improve nutritional status through proper care and the provision of Vitamin A supplementation for children.
Let us work together to keep our children healthy and protected.
