As internists, we often focus on disease management, but today’s lecture emphasized the importance of seeing the bigger picture—assessing not just the illness but the overall well-being of our elderly patients.

Through the use of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment tools, we are empowered to evaluate functional status, cognitive abilities, social support, and overall health risks more effectively.
