✨️What is a Glycolic Peel?
- It is a gentle chemical peel that removes the top superficial layer of the skin
- Commonly used to treat fine lines, melasma, mild photoaging, hyperpigmentation and acne marks and improve skin texture
- A non invasive procedure that do not affect the underlying layers of tissue
✨️Duration: 10 minutes
✨️Frequency: Ideally done every 4-6 weeks. For best results, multiple sessions are needed to achieve brighter and radiant skin.
✨️What to expect: You may feel a mild tingling or stinging sensation during the procedure. Temporary redness is normal. Flaking or skin dryness is expected for 7-10 days after.
🛑 What to do before and after procedure: Although there is little downtime, you need to pause some skincare products a 2-3 days prior to your procedure (retinoids like retinol, Tretinoin and Adapalene) and other exfoliant products that contain Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) or BHA (Salicylic acid) and Benzoyl peroxide. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and always wear your sunscreen daily. You can resume your other skincare products a week after or when your skin is fully healed.
