Dok Paolo Gaane attended todayโ€™s 28th Regular Session of the 21st City Council, where two key disaster preparedness measures were approved.

The first is the Incident Command System (ICS), already in use by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD). The ICS was officially institutionalized through ordinance, ensuring organized operations, clear leadership, and coordinated responses during floods, fires, landslides, and other emergencies.

The second measure is the standardized Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund Investment Plan and Utilization Report System for all 80 barangays in Cagayan de Oro. Both ordinances were sponsored by Councilor Gaane to strengthen the cityโ€™s disaster preparedness and ensure that residents are better protected.
