The Department of Internal Medicine of Capitol University Medical Center joined the celebration of World Obesity Day 2026: โ€œ8 Billion Reasons to Act on Obesity,โ€ held on March 15, 2026 at the Xavier University Covered Courts.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collaboration of The Philippine College of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (PCEDM), The Philippine College of Physicians (P*P), and Xavier University โ€“ Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine, with the Department of Internal Medicine of Maria Reynaโ€“Xavier University Hospital participating in the event.

We extend sincere gratitude to the sponsors, healthcare volunteers, and participants whose support helped bring this event to life through the community health fair, medical screenings, lay lectures, and movement activities.
