Starting today until the rest of the week, temperatures will be high due to the amount of hot BENIGNIT being served at Solace. But everyone will be coolheaded as they are now in recovery free from addiction to drugs and alcohol. They are now equipped to face the thunderclouds and storms of life having already worked the steps. And please expect a shower of BIKO on the side so always bring a plate.

Happening Now | Project Paglaum: Beyond Labels

In partnership with Xavier University – Dr. Jose P. Rizal College of Medicine, we bring you “Beyond The Labels: FREEDOM WALL”, an experiential art installation that gives voice to stories often unheard.

Led by the Level 1 medical students of XU-Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine, Project Paglaum stands on compassion, understanding, and the belief that every person deserves a chance to heal and begin again.

This space exists to restore humanity, break stigma, and remind us that behind every struggle is a story worthy of empathy and hope.

Thank you, Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, for creating safe spaces where healing can begin.

Thank you Lord for the hundreds of Families REUNITED at SOLACE

Addiction is often thought of as a disease that affects a single person. This is an understandable misconception. The life of the person addicted to drugs and/or alcohol becomes clearly unmanageable as the dependency progresses. We see the person's life fall apart, manifested by loss of jobs, relationships, physical and mental health. But what about the family *members of the addict?

The truth is, addiction is a pervasive condition with an impact that reaches far beyond the addicted person. The mental, physical, and social health effects of addiction can extend to people that have never used a drug or consumed a sip of alcohol, especially the family members of an addicted person.

Family members are often forced to pick up the slack, make excuses for his or her behavior, and potentially endure abuse. In many cases, extended family members have to help financially and help raise children whose parents are unable to care for them. For these reasons, addiction is a family disease and it literally breaks the family apart.

Thus, we at SOLACE go beyond simply keeping the addict clean and sober. We endeavor to further help clients resolve addiction related family issues in the hopes addressing the root cause of the addiction and conditions that would lead to relapse. In so doing, the chances of lasting recovery is dramatically increased.

To date, we have been blessed and are very grateful for the high success rate of the family sessions. As a result, our clients have been thanking us not just for their sobriety but also for improving the overall quality of life with their families now that they have been reunited through the intervention of SOLACE.

Freedom from Addiction by the Grace of God (share to a family in need)

He was a very successful multi-millionaire businessman owning mansions in the most expensive subdivisions of Cebu. This came as no surprise as he was a lone ranger entrepreneurial maverick capable of solving every problem in his path. Thus, he has received numerous awards in his chosen industry.

There was, however, a problem he could never overcome alone, ADDICTION.

After he was introduced to drugs and gambling, his downward spiral struck fast and hard. He lost all his mansions. He lost his businesses until finally he was arrested by the police.

Having hit rock bottom, he sought the intervention of Solace. Here he found GOD once again and a community. In tears he asked for forgiveness, repented, and changed with the help of his brothers.

Now he is making multi-million deals once again and healing in the best way possible - together with his family.
