Think of your brain like a sunny day at the beach—addiction is just that one persistent fog that rolls in and makes it hard to see the shore. 🌫️☀️

We’re officially kicking off our advocacy with a deep dive into the science of Substance Use Disorder. It’s easy to judge what we don’t understand, but the reality is that addiction is a biological "hijack" of the brain’s reward system—not a lack of willpower.

The Quick Breakdown:
• The Hijack: Drugs take over the same pathways we use for survival.
• The Rewire: Brain plasticity means the brain adapts to substance use, making decision-making a lot harder.
•The Recovery: Just as the brain can learn, it can relearn.

Healing happens when we replace the "worst chapter" stigma with actual support. Let’s be an anchor, not a storm, for those trying to find their way back. ⚓️✨
