Warmest congratulations to the Philippine Academy of Occupational Therapists, Inc. on the success of the 2025 PAOT Midyear Assembly and the celebration of its 60th Founding Anniversary, held last July 27, 2025, at Emilio Aguinaldo College - Manila. With the inspiring theme "Honoring the Past, Empowering the Present, Innovating the Future," the event was a beautiful tribute to the growth and resilience of our profession. 🌟

The assembly featured insightful discussions on:
• Research Engagement and Utilization in Philippine Practice
• Research Supports for Neuro-affirming Approaches in Practice
• Research-Based Practice: Pathways to Best Practice in Feeding, Mental Health, and Adult Neurologic Conditions

It was truly heartwarming to reconnect with seasoned therapists, professors, and dear colleagues—and to warmly welcome new faces into our growing community. When we repeatedly think in unhelpful ways—like helplessness or hopelessness—those patterns grow stronger. CBT teaches us to focus on whether a thought is helpful, not just positive. Helpful thoughts move us toward our values, reduce distress, and build a sense of control.

Through the CBT Australia workshop, I’ve gained evidence-based tools to help clients reframe unhelpful thoughts and support emotional regulation, resilience, and meaningful participation in daily life as an occupational therapist."
