Formerly known as Cainta Sacred Heart Medical and Surgical Clinic, our facility was established in 1988 by Drs. It caters general medical and surgical out-patient consultations. In 1994, Dr. Maribel Diaz, being a registered medical technologist started a primary laboratory with the basic clinical laboratory equipments while Dr. Alexander B. Diaz purchased a new stationary x-ray machine and a mobile x-ray van facility equipped with transportable x-ray and mobile lab. In 1996, lying-in services were discontinued but the clinical laboratory was upgraded to a secondary clinical laboratory which can perform blood chemistry and serology. The name of the business entity was later on changed to Cainta Sacred Heart Medical, Surgical, and Diagnostic Clinic and was marketed to the different industrial companies not only in the area of Cainta but in the entire province of Rizal. Due to frequent flooding during rainy season, clogged drainages and poor condition of the old building, the management decided to move to a new and better location which is just a walking distance away from the original place. In order to bring the services of the diagnostic center to other places aside from the Rizal province but also to other parts of the country, the management opted to change the business name to Avalon Diagnostic Center and Medical Clinic, a business entity with a national coverage.
