REGARDING 2026 FLU VACCINES
I AM POSTING PARA HINDI NA KO PAULIT ULIT EXPLAIN SA CLINIC.
🤔who: 6 months old and up
HINDI kailangan to wait 1 year from the date of the last flu vaccine
🤔when: estimated date of arrival March... magpopost ako kapag accepting reservations and scheduling na ako.
- kung walang new announcement, it means HINDI PA AVAILABLE so please do NOT PM hanggang walang announcement
🤔how much: Hindi pa po available ang vaccine so hindi ko pa alam. Most likely hindi lalayo nang sobra sa presyo last year.

🤓Most of us ay quadrivalent flu ang ginagamit dati. Apat na strains ng flu virus ang laman. Ang reason is hindi naman malaki ang difference ng presyo so bakit kami magbibigay ng trivalent na tatlo lang ang laman.

🤓Nag-announce ang WHO na ang isang strain na meron sa quadrivalent na wala sa trivalent ay hindi na nakita sa mundo for several years. Trivalent na raw ang gamiting flu vaccine. However, the trivalent vaccine arrived very very late na sa Pinas at hindi readily available. Vaccinated na ang mga pasyente ko nung dumating ang trivalent.

🤓Ang balita ay mauuna pa rin daw this year ang dating ng quadrivalent. This year maaga aga na raw darating ang trivalent although malamang daw ay weeks later than the quadrivalent.
I AM DISCUSSING THIS PARA MAKAPILI KAYO.
1. QUADRIVALENT PA RIN SAME AS PREVIOUS YEARS?
Ito ang mauunang darating so hindi na kayo maiinip at magwoworry. However, baka walang additional protection na mabigay ang extra strain. Kung ito ang choice niyo at least naintindihan niyo kaysa naman basta ko na lang iinject iyan tapos mabasa niyo somewhere na trivalent ang recommended tapos maakusahan pa akong nanadya to charge more.
2. WAIT FOR TRIVALENT?
- Will the trivalent be cheaper dahil less ang laman? I don't know. Hindi pa sinasabi samin how much.
- Okay lang ba to wait? Ang estimated delay ay weeks pero siyempre estimate lang iyon. Generally rainy season pa naman expected na dating ng next flu season pero siyempre may mga unexpected na bagay din na nangyayari. I WILL NOT MAKE THE DECISION FOR YOU. HINDI AKO ANG MAGSASABING WAIT dahil kapag nadelay ang dating ng trivalent or biglang nagkaflu ang bata while waiting for the vaccine e ako pa ang masisisi.
NILATAG KO PO ANG RISKS AND BENEFITS. KAYO PO ANG FINAL DECISION NOT ME.
👨🏻⚕️OPINION: Kung ako ang tatanungin, sa mga high-risk individuals such as children less than 5 years old, patients with asthma, painject na whatever brand ang maunang dumating sa Pinas.
Kung sabay sabay sana ang dating, e di simple sana ang choice siyempre follow the recommendation to shift to trivalent. Unfortunately hindi so we need to adjust adjust. Ang guidelines ay gabay lang at hindi para sa lahat ng tao sa lahat ng situations. Sa tunay na buhay, for 2026, some may need to receive quadrivalent pa rin.
