Vanilla Lily

Vanilla Lily Supporting individuals and businesses in creating peaceful, organized, and energetically balanced spaces. Vanilla Lily isn’t about chasing perfection.

Hi, I’m Lily — the heart behind Vanilla Lily 💜

I’ve always believed that the spaces we live and work in affect how we feel inside. When clutter builds up or the energy feels heavy, it doesn’t just weigh down our environment — it can also weigh down our mood, focus, and overall well-being. Through decluttering, energy & space clearing, and gentle listening support, I help people create spaces that feel lighter, calmer, and more supportive of the life they want to live. The name Vanilla Lily comes from a native Australian flower that means “Ambassador of Love.” It deeply resonated with me, because I see this work as an act of love — clearing away what no longer serves us so that we can reconnect with ourselves and what truly matters. It’s about creating balance, breathing space, and a deeper sense of connection — both within your environment and within yourself. 🌿

I’d love to walk alongside you on this journey of clearing, grounding, and renewal.

✨ Welcome to Vanilla Lily.

Simple System to Manage Receipts
(Adapted from KW Professional Organizers)
Materials:
Corkboard
Double-sided tape
Paper clips
Sticker labels/masking tape
Marker
Push pins

Steps:
- Secure the corkboard to a flat wall with double-sided tape.
- Sort receipts by category. I use four:
Gas
Supplies
Food/Groceries
Others
Gas & Supplies = business; Food & Others = household)
- Label paper clips with categories and pin them to the board.
- Clip receipts daily or as soon as you get home.
- At month’s end, encode receipts into spreadsheets (business vs. household). Subcategories like clothing, medicine, or school expenses can be added in the sheet.
- Discard household receipts after encoding/reconciling, except those needed for warranties—take photos of warranty receipts for backup. I keep school receipts for the school year.
- Staple business receipts together, label with month/year, and file.

Note: This system works for my small business, but feel free to adapt the categories and steps to fit your own lifestyle or work needs.

The message in this video came to me in stillness. God knew I was feeling restless—so many tasks, so many goals. He not only spoke to me directly to point out what my heart and soul already knew to be true, He also used other people to reassure me. It’s magical. Life has a way of giving us exactly what we need, in abundant measure. Here is an excerpt from the email I received from Denise Linn (an author and founder of The Linn Academy).

"Happiness, I’ve learned, is not a destination. It is a relationship.
It is the gentle warmth that rises when we are aligned and in “right relation” with our own soul. It has less to do with circumstances and more to do with coherence — when our thoughts, actions, and spirit are moving in the same direction. It is not constant ecstasy. It is a quiet flame that glows steadily, even on ordinary days.

If we are honest, here are the conditions many of us believe we need in order to be happy:
· Financial stability
· Meaningful work
· Loving relationships
· Good health
· Time for quiet and creativity
· A feeling of being understood

These are worthwhile desires. They matter. But when we make happiness dependent upon them, we place it just beyond reach — always waiting for the next box to be checked.

Spiritually speaking, happiness arises when we stop demanding that life meet our conditions and begin meeting life as it is. It grows when we soften our resistance to the moment. It expands when we look for what is already working — and there is always something.

Paradoxically, we can experience happiness even when our preferred conditions are unmet, because happiness is the quiet knowing that even in uncertainty, we are held by something larger — call it Spirit, Love, God, or simply Life itself.

Happiness is the soul’s natural state, waiting patiently beneath our expectations. The quiet flame within you is already burning."

Paper clutter is one of the toughest to tackle—time-consuming, full of decisions, and often overwhelming. But with a clear plan and system, it becomes manageable and deeply rewarding. The payoff? Less stress, easier access to important documents, and peace of mind knowing everything has its place.

Steps to declutter and organize papers:
Categorize & sort – Separate documents into broad groups (work, personal, financial, etc.).
Read & review – Quickly scan to understand the document’s purpose.
Decide – Keep, file, or dispose.
File by category – Group similar documents together (e.g., all work-related papers in one folder). Choose a system that makes retrieval easy.
Shred sensitive items – Protect your information before disposal.

Suggested items to dispose of:
Old utility bills
Expired warranties
Outdated receipts (unless needed for tax or warranty)
Duplicate copies
Junk mail
User manual of items no longer in your house

Always keep:
Property & vehicle titles
Insurance policies
Business/work contracts & permits
Loan agreements
Birth, marriage, and death certificates
Investment records (stocks, bonds)
Valid warranties & receipts
Training certificates

Note: These are general guidelines. If unsure, place documents in a “review later” file and consult professionals like your accountant or lawyer for financial/legal papers.

Extra tip: Reduce future paper clutter by going paperless. Sign up for online bills, digital statements, and e‑receipts. Less paper coming in means less to sort later.

📌 This guide focuses on documents only—not books, school projects, or photos.

Want to feel lighter and more organized? Start with the papers you’ve been avoiding.

Sharing a few verses from a poem by Kahlil Gibran:
‘Love is sufficient unto love.’
It asks us to surrender, to feel deeply, to give thanks, and to let it guide our path.
