St. John the Baptist Medical Center would like to inform all patients, visitors, and staff of the updated guidelines on face mask usage within the hospital premises.

Effective immediately, face masks are no longer required when entering or staying in non-clinical areas of the hospital such as hallways, waiting areas, offices, and common spaces. However, to continue prioritizing the safety and well-being of both our patients and healthcare providers, wearing of face masks is still REQUIRED when:

✅ Seeking medical consultation
✅ Entering any clinical area such as:

Outpatient Department (OPD)

Emergency Room (ER)

Laboratories

Imaging and Diagnostic Sections

Inpatient Wards and other patient-care areas

Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease is a highly contagious viral infection, often affecting infants and young children. While it usually starts with fever, sore throat, and loss of appetite, it can quickly develop into painful mouth sores and rashes or blisters on the hands and feet.

Although HFMD is generally mild, it can be uncomfortable and easily spread—especially in daycare centers, schools, and homes with multiple children.
