✨“Here’s to skin that’s cared for, not judged.” - Philippine Dermatological Society on Acne Awareness Month✨

The ‘before’ and ‘after’ selfies our patient sent may be a little blurry to see how her skin greatly improved, but her smile in the ‘after’ photos says it all 🥹
Her long but heartfelt message also gave me a whirlwind of emotions, honestly 🥲
From feeling so heartbroken for someone who had to endure her hunger or thirst just so she won’t have to put down her face mask to eat or drink so people around her won’t see her face full of acne; receive indirect insults and unsolicited opinions; and sometimes cry in front of the mirror — to feeling overly blessed and appreciated by someone who can now take unfiltered selfies with a confident smile even under the sun, or as she looks at herself in the mirror in the morning (woke up like this ang peg ba 😜)
From tears of sadness to tears of joy for the both of us indeed 🥹🥰 Her smile is priceless 💚
