Una po, mahirap mag-assess ng PEDIA patients virtually, WE DO NOT DO THAT ESPECIALLY FOR COUGH SINCE ANG PAG-EXAMINE SA BAGA AY IMPORTANTE NA GINAGAWA PHYSICALLY.
Kaya YES, we will instruct you that if worsened symptoms of cough, (and you mesaged us stating no improvement, hence we considered it URGENT since nagmessage kayo and nababahala kayo sa kalagayan ng inyong mahal sa buhay.
kaya, we will STILL ENCOURAGE you to proceed to our Affiliated ER so that Doctor on duty can physically assess the patient. NOT NECESSARILY AUTOMATICALLY ADMIT THE PATIENT, but to have proper assessment if condition can still be treated at home or admission is warranted already.
UNLESS, dear patients, you can wait for the resume of clinics we have on the following day.

Pneumonia is treatable if properly assessed and managed. BUT can be FATAL if doctor's advice not taken into serious consideration.
After all, we want to give you the finest care we can offer even outside our hospital duties and clinics, but then, we still have limitations on doing so no matter how much we try. Especially us who are catering bulk of patients everyday. 😊
