This is the official page of the Pax Romana MCU-College of Medicine Fr.

Pax Romana began in the 1880’s when Catholic Action was becoming necessary in order to combat the twin evils of secularism and materialism that was very prevalent during those times. On July 19th, 1921, these efforts came to fruition when student leaders from twenty-three countries from all over war torn Europe, the United States, Argentina, and Java (Indonesia) met in Fribourg, Switzerland for the first Pax Romana Congress. It was in this spirit that the Congress decided to create an international secretariat under the name "Pax Romana" with the idea that the students could work to build peace in world under the motto of "Pax Christi in Regno Christi.“ –The Peace of Christ in The Kingdom of Christ

In 1925, Pax Romana was defined as "a Catholic Confederation of students from all over the world" with the "aims to include and represent all legitimate forms of Catholic organizations in the university world and to serve as an instrument of co-ordination for all their varied activities, while leaving to each organization complete freedom to develop its own mystique and methods consisting with it's own ends.“
In 1929, the International Secretariat of Pax Romana in Switzerland negotiated with the Apostolic Delegation in Manila for a formation of an affiliate in the Philippines

In 1930, Rev. Francisco Del Rio, dean of the Religion Department of the University of Santo Tomas drafted a constitution that gives rise to the birth of UST- Pax Romana

PAX Romana Came to Manila Central University on October 4, 1986 when 30 students worked for the accreditation of the organization bearing the same Vision, Mission, Objectives and Principles as the International Pax Romana Organization.

💊 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗜 𝗠𝗖𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝘀

Last October 4, 2025, the MCU College of Medicine held its Board Ops in support of the 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀. The event showcased the unity and compassion of the COM community as students and organizations came together to offer encouragement, prayers, and care packages for the board takers. It was a heartfelt display of solidarity and service — embodying the true spirit of an MCU Medicine family. 💙🙌

🌟 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟳𝟴 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗜 𝗠𝗖𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆

Last October 1, 2025, the 𝗠𝗖𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 marked its 𝟳𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 with the theme “𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴: 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘌𝘳𝘢 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦.” The celebration began with a Thanksgiving Mass and an offering for board takers, followed by the mental health seminar “H.E.A.L.: Harnessing Emotional Awareness for Life Balance” led by Mr. Lordy Angelo C. Santos, MA, RPm, RPsy — a meaningful reminder of the importance of gratitude, unity, and emotional well-being within the COM community. 💙✨
