A concerned netizen sent to us a post from a patient expressing frustration about a dental visit. While we respect everyoneโs right to express themselves, we feel the need to clarify misinformation and protect both patients and the dental profession for everyone's awareness. ๐

โข Root canal treatment (RCT): Preserves the natural tooth, allows you to still chew properly, and prevents further complications. Yes, it costs more because it requires specialized skills, tools, and multiple appointments.
โข Extraction: Cheaper and faster, but may lead to shifting teeth, bone loss, bite problems, and the need for dentures/implants laterโwhich are far more costly in the long run.

Professional fees are not simply "nagsalita ka lang naman Doc". Every consultation involves proper assessment, diagnosis, and medical responsibility.
