This morning vaccinators from RHU injected shots of MR-TD (Measles/Rubella- Tetanus/Diphtheria) Vaccine to our little Grade 1 pupils from the TWA-Elementary Deprtment, accompanied by their loving parents.

Followed by some of the Grade 7 students of the Junior HighSchool Department.

💬 Breaking Barriers: Strengthening the Bond Between Parents and Children 💕

The Health Services Department of Tayabas Western Academy, in partnership with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Candelaria, successfully held the meaningful event “Breaking Barriers” for the Grades 5 and 6 students and their parents of the Elementary Department.

The program aimed to promote parenting awareness and strengthen understanding between parents and children—encouraging open communication, empathy, and deeper family connections. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💬

Parents and students actively participated and engaged in various discussions and activities, making the event both interactive and insightful. Esteemed guest speakers from Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) shared valuable knowledge on effective parenting and child development.

Simultaneously, an HIV screening for parents was conducted by RHU Candelaria, promoting health awareness and preventive care among families. 💉❤️

📰 TWA Conducts School-Based Deworming in Partnership with Barangay Health Center of Poblacion

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote the health and well-being of its learners, Tayabas Western Academy successfully held a school-based deworming activity on October 15, 2025, in collaboration with the Barangay Health Center of Poblacion.

The activity aimed to protect students from intestinal worms and raise awareness about the importance of regular deworming in maintaining good health and supporting effective learning.

TWA extends its heartfelt appreciation to the barangay health workers and all individuals who contributed to the success of this initiative. Together, we continue to uphold a healthy and safe school environment for all.

TAYABAS WESTERN ACADEMY CONDUCTS SCHOOL-WIDE DISINFECTION AMID RISING INFLUENZA-LIKE ILLNESS CASES

In response to the increasing number of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) cases in the community, Tayabas Western Academy initiated a comprehensive school-wide disinfection on campus. The activity aimed to ensure a safe and hygienic learning environment for students, teachers, and staff.

Classrooms, offices, and common areas were thoroughly sanitized as part of the school’s preventive measures to minimize the spread of viral infections.

The initiative reflects TWA’s continued commitment to promote health and safety within the school community, reminding everyone to observe proper hygiene, wash hands, wear face mask as mandated, and stay home when experiencing flu-like symptoms.

The Tayabas Western Academy (TWA) successfully held its 4th annual Mental Health Awareness program with the theme "Mindful Choices; Powerful Voices."
The event brought together junior and senior high school students, who actively participated and engaged with the discussions.

Resource speaker Mr. Mark Dexter Bristol RGC emphasized the importance of prioritizing mental health, motivating attendees to take care of their well-being. Rev. Fr. Jaymark Jaluague's inspiring spiritual talk further encouraged the students to cultivate a positive mindset.

The symposium provided a valuable platform for academicians to share insights and experiences, fostering a supportive community that promotes mental health awareness.
