In celebration of Elderly Week, the City Government of Candon headed by City Mayor Eric D. Singson, through the City Health Office and the Candon City Social Welfare and Development Office in partnership with the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists – Ilocos Sur Chapter led by Dr. Ma. Kathleen Somera, the Ilocos Sur Medical Center, and the Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society, successfully conducted a Medical, Dental, and Eye Mission dedicated to our beloved senior citizens.

✔️ Dental Prophylaxis & Tooth Extraction
✔️ Free Reading Glasses
✔️ Free Maintenance Medications

📊 This meaningful initiative catered to a total of 756 senior citizens, ensuring access to essential health services and demonstrating the City’s continuing commitment to the welfare, health, and well-being of our elderly sector.

Our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, doctors, dentists, optometrists, and volunteers whose dedication and compassion made this mission a success. 💖

✅ Grade 4 (Females) – Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

Villanueva, in partnership with the Department of Education – Schools Division and DOH personnel, fully supports the conduct of a two-day Health Assessment aimed at ensuring the overall well-being of student-athletes, coaches, and tournament managers.

This proactive initiative underscores Candon City’s commitment to safeguarding the fitness, health, and readiness of all individuals involved in athletic competitions. Through comprehensive medical assessments, the city ensures that participants are physically prepared and medically cleared for competitive events.

More than just a health check, this program is a testament to Candon City’s holistic approach to youth development and health promotion.
