As part of the ongoing Case Presentation Series organized by the Nursing Service Division, two hospital wards showcased notable clinical cases in recent weeks, contributing to continuous learning and interdepartmental collaboration.
On April 7, 2025, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward presented an in-depth case of Placenta Previa Grade III, shedding light on its clinical management, maternal risks, and the multidisciplinary approach required to ensure favorable outcomes. The presentation underscored the importance of early diagnosis, appropriate monitoring, and emergency preparedness in high-risk pregnancies.
Following this, on May 5, 2025, the Surgery Ward took the spotlight with their case presentation on Ludwig's Angina, a life-threatening cellulitis of the floor of the mouth. The team emphasized the urgency of airway management, antibiotic therapy, and surgical intervention in preventing complications.
Serving as panelists for these sessions were Mr. Sherwin Paguiligan, MAN, Ms. Magnolia Biete, EDAM, and Ms. Joan Flores, MAN, who provided insightful feedback, clinical perspectives, and commendations on the comprehensive presentation of both cases.
These presentations continue to reinforce the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence, knowledge-sharing, and professional development across departments.
