CANTILAN, Surigao del Sur, November 8, 2025 — As of 5:00 PM today, we are currently under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1, as Typhoon continues to rapidly intensify while approaching the Philippine Sea and is expected to make its first landfall in the Bicol Region.

Mayor Rodrigo L. Eleazar has ordered the activation of the CANTILAN EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER (EOC) and will monitor the situation alongside the Cantilan MDRRMO and other agencies.

According to the DOST-PAGASA forecast, we can expect minimal to minor impacts on life and property from strong winds with speeds ranging from 39 to 61 km/h.

𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗. 𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗬 𝗞𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗘!

Per Executice Order No. 29, classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in both public and private schools in the Municipality of Cantilan are hereby suspended starting November 3, 2025, until further notice, due to the threats posed by Tropical Storm TINO.

Cantilan and the other northern municipalities of Surigao del Sur are currently under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1.

College students are advised to coordinate
with their respective school heads for advice.
