July 14,2023
We have been discharged from the hospital and now on medication. An additional medication is needed as the illness progress. This journey has been emotionally, physically , financially and spiritually challenging but I thank my family especially my husband for always being there for me. Thank you to friends who have been there since Day 1 and continuously helping and praying for us. I had to file a leave for work and Vell is doing his best to take on several projects. We are thankful to the parents , to our students at Kidz Symphony by Teacher Vell for entrusting us helping us in this journey. We are blessed and will continue to fight. To my kids Alessa, Andres, Luis and Ahya especially to my husband, thank you for the love and support.

Day 4 in the hospital
Was rushed to the ER due to chest pains and difficulty in breathing. We waited for 26hrs in the ER for a room to be available. Due to discomfort we were given an option to go home instead of waiting in the ER. Waited another 5hrs to get the bill settled. Vell and I were so exhausted already.
We then went home and got to rest ,made sure that my bp, heart rate and SPO2 are all monitored. In the evening, I felt very dizzy after I went to the toilet. Vell checked my BP it was at 70/50. After that I no longer have any recollection of what happened til I woke up back in the ER.
This time, admitting waiting time took less and I was transferred to telemetry. Still have low bp, chest pains, dizziness. Lab tests came back showing high WBC showing infection so they started with medication for the infection and for my BP to be back up to at least 90/60.
I want to extend our great aprreciation to those who sent help and included me in their prayers.
Am still admitted at present and we continue to ask for prayers. God bless us all 🙏
Oct 16, 2022 Had my lab works and 2D Echo done then ff up consultations with my specialists. Pressure is still high despite the added medication but vitals are stable. So we are continouosly looking for better options to manage the progression of my illness at least. Praying and claiming to be accepted for a clinical trial and research with NIH. Still awaiting for the results. Please continue to pray for us. You are all included in ours too. God bless 🙏
Sept. 28, 2022 ❤️ Home at last 🙏 My arterial pressure went down , stable vitals. The additional medication is helping a lot. Will continue my maintenance meds and hopefully recover fast. Thank you for all the help and prayers. We shall continue to fight. God is Great all the time ☝️🙏
Sept. 26, 2022 Still in ICU , today was tiring since full dose of medication under close monitoring is every two hours, thankful and blessed as the side effects are now controlled and indeed tolerable. Thank you to my wonderful doctors! Finally right formula I guess. Lord bless their hands and I believe they are a vessel of your Greatness. One last procedure tomorrow to check on the pressures. Claiming for better results ☝️🙏
Sept. 25, 2022 Still in ICU, doctors mentioned to be here at least til Wednesday given better pressure results after heart cath on Wednesday. Better tolerance of the medication though allergies and cough are still making it uncomfortable. 🙏 praying for stronger lungs and heart. Keep the Faith! God is by my side. Thank you and still asking for prayers and help. ❤️
Sept 22, 2022 - I was transferred this morning to the ICU in preparation for tomorrow's procedure. We are in great gratitude to our family, friends ,and to some we even do not know sending their regards, prayers and help. Indeed God is doing His work and in His hands we claim healing.
Sept 19,2022 -Am currently admitted in Asian Hospital for a new medication in addition to what I am already taking. We are praying for better results. We continue to ask for prayers 🙏
Vell and I haven't posted or shared much lately about what is happening it's because there are challenges we are facing as a family. However this is something that most people aren't aware of. I am sharing this for people to know about the illness , how serious it is and to also ask for prayers and help.
In February 2022, I was rushed to the hospital as I was experiencing chest pains , shortness of breath , my husband also said that I actually turned blue and fainted. We then went to the hospital and was advised that I have experienced heart failure. To us it was all very sudden as we go on outdoor activities as a family and I haven't experienced anything like this in the past.
I was referred to a PAH specialist in Asian Hospital since facilities sadly aren’t available in our public hospitals and several procedures had to be made right away. In March , I was then diagnosed to have Severe Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, something we haven't heard at all. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is a rare and progressive disorder ,at this point my condition is already irreversible. Medications were given mostly we have to buy from overseas and would cost us approximately 200k per month. Hearing this we prayed to seek guidance ,strength and healing. My sister created a Go fund me campaign which was a huge help, we planned our finances and prepared.
Because of prayers, strong faith and help we were able to sustain my medication for the months that came. I was back on my feet able to do daily activities and even get back to work. Please know that all the help and prayers you sent are very much appreciated.
Unfortunately as much as everyone is claiming and praying for a miracle, PAH and its unpredictable nature challenged us again and we just received a sad news that condition has worsen along with my symptoms which prompted my doctors to ask me to stop working and take additional medication, also coming up with other medical plans. I now have a Severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension WHO Group 1, Heart Failure with Right Ventricular Dysfunction secondary to Pulmonary Hypertension.
My doctors have been very honest that this will be a long fight that will cost us financially, most especially that people aren't aware of the sickness and no support from our government at this point. Most of the patients having similar conditions are either misdiagnosed, undiagnosed or aren't able to sustain expensive medication which unfortunately cost them not to survive.
At this point, we are close to being financially drained with having to deal with the disease and along with maintaining a family, it is very challenging for a normal working class Filipino to sustain a living. Once again we are knocking to your kind hearts to send prayers and help for us to overcome this challenge.
We are indeed still VERY BLESSED and we are FAITHFUL all these shall pass.
