The Bayugo-Dichoso Optometric Clinic (BDOC) started its roots in Carmona, Cavite during the late 1970’s as a part of the Bayugo Polyclinic which was comprised by the Vargas-Bayugo siblings, who all of which are doctors with different specializations. The Doctors
Dr. Eduina Bayugo-Dichoso graduated with a degree in Doctor of Optometry in De Ocampo Memorial School in the year 1975 and rec
eived her license as an Optometrist in 1976. She began her practice as an Assistant Optometrist in Pampanga and decided to put up her own clinic a few years after. Over the years, she was able to establish clinics in Carmona, Legarda (Manila), GMA, Biñan and Dasmariñas and has served the employees of the now-defunct PNCC. After some time, she then decided to focus on industries and clientele in Carmona. Backed with both commercial and clinical knowledge, Dr. Eduina Bayugo-Dichoso continues to serve patients from all walks of life for over 35 years. She has managed to improve the quality of service through the addition of charts, instruments and materials that will help assess the patient’s vision and improve quality of life. Dr. Dichoso has been continuously updating her knowledge through various seminars, workshops and conventions. Dr. Dichoso is also a National Officer (board member) of the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists (IPAO), Inc. and is currently working hand-in-hand with the Department of Health’s National Blindness Prevention program. She also served as the past president of IPAO-Laguna and is the incumbent President of the Catholic Women’s League – Diocese of Imus. It is but inevitable that one of Dr. Eduina Bayugo-Dichoso’s children will eventually take up Doctor of Optometry. Dichoso is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba in 2006. From 2006 to 2010, she has worked as a Customer Service Representative, Recruitment Specialist, Part-Time College Instructor and finally a Trainer for both Product and Communication Skills. In 2010, she then decided to take up Optometry in Manila Central University (Caloocan) and graduated in 2014. She recently got her license and has successfully placed 6th on the 2014 National Board Exam for Optometry. Equipped with her knowledge in Human Psychology and Optometry, Dr. Eunice Edina Dichoso-Rivero now supports BDOC’s mantra of making quality eye care services available to all. In 2014-2016, Dr. Rivero worked as a part-time Optometrist for Shinagawa LASIK and Aesthetics, Makati while she establishes her practice in Carmona, Cavite. Both Dr. Eduina and Dr. Eunice are active members of the Carmona Eye Health Team.
