โจ Our duties are much harder now. We are in the frontline and we don't know if the patients that are coming to us, talking to us, handing to us their medical records and other stuff are asymptomatic (no signs and symptoms) but are positive of COVID19. But we still entertain them as this is a call of duty as a healthcare professional. Our only protection is to wash hands, wear facemasks, disinfect with alcohol or do hand gloving. And these much needed medical supplies are running out due to bulk buying by individuals not needing it the most. We even need to bring our own supplies to protect ourselves ๐
To everyone reading this, please don't hoard these basic necessities for us healthcare workers. We are more at risk than you staying at home or in other places. Hoarding these supplies are nonsense if the rest won't be able to get these to protect themselves as well. You are making everyone more susceptible to acquiring this pandemic.
To our patients, please don't get offended or judge us if we need to keep a certain distance and keep on santizing our hands when dealing with you. As much as we wanted to render our best care, we cannot do this if we would be the one contacting the disease. We wanted to remain healthy to remain present everyday in the institution we belong so as not to hamper the service it gives to you.
To my fellow healthcare professionals, you don't have to feel guilty for over protecting yourselves from any patient you encounter. Not all have signs visible to our senses. At the end of the day, we have a family to protect, children waiting for us to come home healthy and we need to keep it going for the following days of our duty โจ
Lastly, pray that this pandemic will come to an end. This might be a way for our Lord to teach humanity to unite, care for one another and keep the faith in Him. ๐๐ป For He said, 'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.' 2 Chronicles 7:14 | NIV
