August 27, 2025 – In celebration of Family Planning Month & National TB Day, the Catbalogan City Health Department in partnership with New Life Catbalogan & 424 Quest Development Center, headed by Dr. Anna Sophia R. Lim, MD, DPPS, MMHOA, conducted an awareness session on Family Planning Month & National TB Day for the residents of Barangay Maulong, Catbalogan City. Beneficiaries were identified by NewLife Payao and E424 Quest Development Center. The activity emphasized the importance of birth spacing and appropriate family planning methods to promote healthier and well-planned families.

Catbalogan City Health Department, in partnership with the Catbalogan City Division, conducted a School-Based Immunization (SBI) at Samar National School on September 3, 2025, in line with Department Memorandum No. 2024-0250, which establishes the interim guidelines for the resumption of SBI (MR, Td, and HPV vaccination).

CATBALOGAN CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENT, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICE, CELEBRATES NATIONAL LUNG MONTH

On September 4, 2025, the Catbalogan City Health Department, in partnership with the Provincial Health Office, celebrated National Lung Month with a health service activity. The event offered the community free medical consultations, blood sugar testing, HIV testing, and free chest X-ray services to promote lung health and overall well-being.
