Today, Cauayan District Hospital proudly joins the national celebration of Rare Disease Week 2026!

This meaningful celebration reminds us to deepen our understanding of the lives of individuals and families affected by rare diseases. Behind every diagnosis is a story of strength, courage, and resilience that is truly more than we can imagine.

Wearing our blue jeans, we stand in solidarity to show that they are not alone in this journey. We raise our hands to add our voices to call for stronger awareness, better support systems, inclusive care, and equal opportunities for all individuals living with rare conditions.

As one CDH family, we commit ourselves—not only through our signatures, but through our actions—to extend empathy, compassionate care, and unwavering support. We stand beside every patient and family, offering hope, understanding, and love.

The battle is not yet over, but together—as one hospital, one community, one family—we can help them fight with courage and dignity.

Let us continue to advocate, educate, and care. Because every life matters. Every story matters. And no one should face a rare disease alone.

As we continue to celebrate Heart Month! , the team of Cauayan District Hospital remains committed to promoting awareness and prevention of cardiovascular diseases in our community. ❤️

Yesterday, our dedicated staff conducted an informative health education session at the OPD focusing on heart-related problems. Several important topics about cardiovascular diseases were highlighted — from common signs and symptoms, risk factors, preventive measures, up to proper care and treatment options.

Our patients were given the opportunity to listen, ask questions, and openly share their concerns in an atmosphere of empathy and understanding. We believe that education is one of the strongest tools in preventing heart disease. When people are informed, they are empowered to take better care of their health.

To further support awareness, educational leaflets about cardiovascular diseases were distributed so patients and their families can continue learning even at home.

This Heart Month, let us all remember:
💓 Early detection saves lives.
💓 Healthy lifestyle prevents complications.
💓 A caring community builds stronger hearts.

Together, let us protect our hearts and promote a healthier Cauayan. Padayon para sa malusog nga komunidad! 💪❤️

🟣 Leprosy Control Week | Cauayan District Hospital

This week, we join the nation in observing Leprosy Control Week — a time to raise awareness, promote early detection, and most importantly, eliminate the stigma surrounding leprosy (ketong).

Leprosy is a curable disease. With early diagnosis and complete treatment, persons affected can live healthy and normal lives. Free and effective treatment is available in your nearest government health facilities.

However, beyond the physical symptoms, many patients suffer from discrimination, fear, and social isolation. This stigma often prevents them from seeking early treatment.

💜 What can we do?

✔️ Learn and share correct information about leprosy.
✔️ Encourage anyone with suspicious skin patches, numbness, or skin changes to consult early.
✔️ Show compassion, not judgment.
✔️ Support patients as they complete their treatment.
✔️ Help stop misinformation and discrimination in our community.

Remember:
👉 Leprosy is not a curse.
👉 Leprosy is not a lifelong sentence.
👉 Leprosy is CURABLE.

Let us work together to build a community rooted in understanding, acceptance, and care. At Cauayan District Hospital, we are committed to providing accessible, free, and compassionate services for everyone.

Together, we can end stigma. Together, we can heal.

🦷✨ Cauayan District Hospital Celebrates National Oral Health Month!✨🦷

Today, Cauayan District Hospital proudly joined the nation in celebrating "National Oral Health Month" with the bright and enthusiastic grade one learners of Man-uling Elementary School!

This meaningful celebration reminded us that good oral health starts at a young age. A healthy smile is not just about clean teeth — it builds confidence, prevents disease, and promotes overall well-being, especially for our children.

During the activity, our team conducted:
🪥 A short but interactive lecture on the importance of proper oral care
🦷 Teaching the 7 Gabay sa Pagsisipilyo to guide children on correct toothbrushing habits
🥗 Discussion on healthy foods that help keep teeth strong and cavity-free
🎁 Distribution of oral health kits
😁 A fun and engaging group toothbrushing activity

Through these simple yet impactful activities, we aim to empower our young learners to become more aware of their oral health responsibilities — and to make caring for their teeth an enjoyable daily habit.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Man-uling Elementary School community for the warm welcome and support, especially to:
💙 Grade 1 Advisers – Ma’am Angelie Ferrera and Ma’am Mildred Vidal for their facilitation
💙 School Principal – Ma’am Ma. Lanibelle Salazar for her leadership and support

We also sincerely thank our generous sponsors:
🦷 The Smile Pro Dental Clinic– Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental
🦷 Malvas Dental Clinic – Brgy. 3, Sipalay, Negros Occidental

Together, we continue to promote brighter smiles and healthier futures for our children.

✨ Because every child deserves a smile that shines with confidence! ✨

Did you know?

Childhood cancer is rare but can happen.

And the good news is: most children with cancer can survive with treatments that already exist today. Generic medicines, surgery, and radiotherapy can offer many children a real chance of recovery.

When childhood cancer services are within reach, more than 80% of children can be cured.
