Ngayong buwan ng Abril, tayo ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng National Hemophilia Awareness Month—isang mahalagang pagkakataon upang mapalawak ang kaalaman, maitaguyod ang pag-unawa, at maipakita ang suporta sa mga taong may hemophilia.

Ano ang Hemophilia?
Ang hemophilia ay isang rare at minamanang sakit kung saan ang dugo ay hindi agad namumuo dahil kulang sa clotting factors. Dahil dito, kahit simpleng sugat ay maaaring magdulot ng matagal na pagdurugo, at sa mas malalang kaso, maaaring magkaroon ng internal bleeding kahit walang nakikitang pinsala.

Bakit Mahalaga ang Awareness?
Ang maagang pagkilala at tamang gamutan ay malaking tulong upang mapabuti ang kalidad ng buhay ng mga may hemophilia. Sa sapat na kaalaman, suporta, at access sa healthcare, posible silang mamuhay nang normal at aktibo.

Alamin ang mga Sintomas:
• Matagal na pagdurugo mula sa sugat o injury
• Madalas na pagdurugo ng ilong o gilagid
• Madaling pagkakaroon ng pasa o bukol (hematoma)
• Pananakit at paninigas ng kasukasuan dahil sa pagdurugo sa loob nito
• Pagkakaroon ng dugo sa ihi o dumi

Ang Aming Paninindigan:
Ang Cauayan District Hospital ay patuloy na sumusuporta sa mga pasyente at kanilang pamilya sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalaganap ng tamang impormasyon, maagang diagnosis, at accessible na serbisyong pangkalusugan.
