Ceremonial Signing of the Usufruct Agreement Between The City Government of Cavite and the Philippine Red Cross.

The City Government of Cavite and the Philippine Red Cross formally held the ceremonial signing of the Usufruct Agreement, reinforcing their shared commitment to public service and humanitarian initiatives. Present during this significant event were Mayor Denver Chua, Atty. Josh Relativo, Director Aravella Ramos, and Ms. Adel Castillo, who witnessed and affirmed this milestone for the benefit of the people of Cavite City.

The Usufruct Agreement, set to last for 25 years, signifies the continued collaboration between the City Government of Cavite and the Philippine Red Cross.

The Philippine Red Cross Cavite City, established in 1945, is recognized as the mother branch of all Red Cross chapters in the country. The Cavite City chapter ranked 1st in Safety Services in the Philippines and has proudly marked 80 years of service in Cavite City.

PHILIPPINE RED CROSS RESPONDS TO 2ND ALARM FIRE IN BACOOR, CAVITE

BACOOR, CAVITE — The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Cavite Chapter responded to a residential fire that broke out at Camote Homes, Barangay Talaba 2, Bacoor City at around 8:42 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

The blaze, which involved structures made of light materials, quickly escalated to second alarm at 9:03 p.m. before being declared under control at 9:40 p.m. Authorities reported an estimated 35 houses damaged, affecting around 40 families or 175 individuals.

Evacuees were transferred to Responsible Village Leaders Learning Academy High School for temporary shelter.

One individual, a 47-year-old male, was injured after fainting due to dizziness. PRC responders assisted him on-site, helping him rest and conducting vital signs monitoring.

As part of its response, the PRC Cavite Chapter activated its RC143 Bacoor volunteers and deployed an ambulance unit with four personnel led by TL Benjamin Ibasc. The team provided first aid to the injured, coordinated closely with the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and Barangay Talaba 2 officials, and conducted an initial assessment of damages and needs in the area.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

PGC-WOC Holds Successful Blood Donation Drive at New Provincial Government Center

As part of the Provincial Government of Cavite’s (PGC) monthly theme celebration for July 2025, the Workplace Organization Committee (PGC-WOC), headed by Ms. Luzviminda S. Amparo, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Cavite Chapter, successfully spearheaded a blood donation drive on July 31, 2025, at the New Provincial Government Center.

The event commenced with messages of support from Provincial Administrator Engr. Gilbert V. Gandia and Provincial Board Secretary Ms. Michelle F. Alcid. In her message, Ms. Alcid underscored the importance of institutionalizing this life-saving initiative and expressed her intent to make the blood donation drive an annual activity of the Provincial Government of Cavite.

Ms. Lucy Beltran, Board Member and Treasurer, Philippine Red Cross – Cavite Chapter, conveyed the organization’s appreciation for the strong collaboration with the provincial government in promoting voluntary blood donation and strengthening community health services.

With the assistance and supervision of the Philippine Red Cross – Cavite Chapter’s medical team, the activity was carried out smoothly and safely. A total of 87 blood bags were successfully collected during the drive, thanks to the overwhelming support and participation of employees from various Capitol offices who exemplified unity, compassion, and a deep commitment to public service.

The PGC-WOC extends its heartfelt gratitude to all blood donors, volunteers, and partner organizations whose efforts made the event a resounding success. This initiative reflects the PGC’s enduring dedication to health, civic engagement, and the spirit of bayanihan.— R. Dones

July 17, 2025 | Nakiisa ang 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨- 𝘾𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 sa 𝐂𝐏𝐑 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐎𝐟𝐟 bilang pagdiriwang ng National CPR Day 2025 na dinaluhan 465 na mag-aaral Grade 7 - 12 mula sa San Sebastian College - Recoletos de Cavite Baste Cavite - Cañacao Campus, Baste Cavite - Senior High School at St. Joseph College Cavite City SJC Cavite City. Ito ay taunang programa ng PRC upang tugunan ang matinding pangangailangan ng mga nakararanas ng atake sa puso, isang biglaang pangyayari na kumikitil ng buhay nang walang babala.
Sa pamamagitan ng tamang CPR, maaari nating madoble o matriple ang tsansa ng isang tao na makaligtas.
Ang deklrasyon ngayong ika-17 ng Hulyo bilang National CPR Day ay isang panawagan para sa atin. Isa itong paalala na ang bawat isa sa atin ay may kakayanang magligtas ng buhay. Ang hangad ng Philippine Red Cross ay isang tahanang handa sa anumang sakuna.
