It was a lively and joy-filled day during the SWU outreach at Balay Amuma. 💛

In Waldorf education, we understand children through the lens of the four temperaments: sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic. 💛💙💚❤

Each temperament offers a glimpse into how a child experiences the world which includes their energy, emotions, relationships, and ways of learning. Rather than labeling or limiting, this helps us meet each child with deeper understanding, guiding them with care, balance, and intention.

At Balay Amuma, we observe these temperaments to better support every child’s unique path. We want to nurture their strengths while gently guiding their growth.

It has been a year filled with simple, meaningful moments where children were at play, stories shared, hands busy with work, and hearts growing together.

We walked through the seasons with celebrations of Michaelmas, Martinmas, Advent, our spiral celebration, and Sinulog. We gathered for special moments like our Christmas celebration, made possible through generosity and care.

Our days were enriched by nature walks, visits from volunteers near and far, and acts of kindness—from dental outreach to relief support for our families during times of earthquakes and typhoons.

Each moment, big and small, has been part of a journey of nurturing childhood, community, and connection.

Thank you to everyone who walked alongside us this year. 🤍

Rose Ceremony is a gentle and meaningful way to honor a child’s transition, often during a moving-up or birthday celebration. Each child is called with warmth, receives a rose, and is recognized for their unique journey.
