After over 10,000 patient population experience and patient savings value of 15M served by our donors and volunteer network medical missions through free primary healthcare services like consultation, diagnostic testing and medications usually on weekends at parishes and barangay halls.

We are now ready to embark on the journey of enabling and delivering universal healthcare service access in the countryside closer to homes of the financially and mobility challenged Filipino on a daily basis in more locations throughout the country starting in Cebu.

So we are happy to take this startup leap with STARTUPISLAND.PH in ideating, building and rolling out the technology driven mobile e-clinic project offering Philhealth’s Konsulta free expanded primary care services coverage of laboratory testing, consultation and medications throughout the country to the underserved patient population who:

1. Spend up to 40% of their family Income for healthcare out of pocket usually through debts driving 1.5M families every year to poverty.

2. Up to 99% could not afford to buy their lifelong multiple maintenance medications after 4 weeks.

3. 6 out 10 died without seeing a doctor in what could have been a manageable and preventable disease condition.

Leveraging our success in online first pharmacy solution and legacy point of care test experience we are cut to do this improbable task of delivering sustainable population health equity.

XalMeds in its first application attempt as a newly launched startup late September 2020 was chosen as one of the top 12 Finalist Startup to pitch in Arise 2020 Startup Pitching Challenge presented by Startup Village and sponsored by Ongpin Angel Investment Corp. as one highlights of the premier startup event in the country, the annual PH Startup Weekend virtual edition last November 23, 2020 organized by DOST, DTI, DICT and QBO.

Out of over 200 applicants, XalMeds is one of the chosen startup to grace the event and successfully got the interest of angel investors for its investment amount ask. This just validates XalMeds value proposition relevance and viability as a business model in owning up and building the medicine subscription service in the Philippines as a new complementary support service to professionals and their patients and the community in general of untreated who fail to comply on their multiple maintenance medications thereby complicating conditions to more morbidities, preventable hospitalizations and untimely mortalities especially the vulnerable elderlies and chronically ill who have mobilities and access problem.
