Every month of July, we celebrate the National Blood Donor's Month, It's a time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and recognizing the selfless individuals who donate blood and encourage both new and existing donors to give blood regularly, helping to ensure a stable and sufficient blood supply.

This year, with the theme, "𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙪𝙜𝙤, 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙜-𝙖𝙨𝙖, 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖-𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙖 𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙤'𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙩𝙖𝙨 𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙮", let us honor all the volunteer blood donors and let us take part in saving more lives through regular blood donation.

After years of unwavering dedication, compassion, and servant leadership, we bid a grateful and heartfelt farewell to our beloved Assistant Regional Director, Dr. Sophia M. Mancao.

Her commitment to public health has shaped lives, inspired colleagues, and left a legacy that will continue to echo in every program, project, and person she has touched. Beyond her titles and responsibilities, she has been a mentor, a steady presence, and a true embodiment of service with a heart.

As she turns a new chapter in life, may she carry with her the gratitude of a region that will always remember her as more than just a leader but as family.

🩸 Magbigay ng dugo, magbigay ng pag-asa.
Isang donasyon ng dugo ay maaaring magligtas ng hanggang tatlong buhay—mga pasyenteng nangangailangan ng transfusion, mga buntis, at mga may karamdaman gaya ng dengue, anemia, at cancer.

May benepisyo rin ito sa kalusugan ng donor:
✅ Nakakatulong sa mas maayos na daloy ng dugo;
✅ Nakakabawas ng sobrang iron sa katawan;
✅ At ayon sa ibang pag-aaral, maaaring mapababa ang risk na magkaron ng sakit sa puso.

📍 Mag-donate ng dugo sa pinakamalapit na DOH hospital, Philippine Red Cross chapter, o sa mga mobile blood donation drives sa inyong barangay o workplace.

For over a decade, Regional Director Jaime S. Bernadas has exemplified what it means to lead with excellence, integrity, and compassion. His 12 years of service to the Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH Central Visayas CHD) have left a profound impact not only on the institution but also on the countless lives uplifted through his leadership.

Dr. Bernadas' deep commitment to public health, his vast knowledge and experience, and his genuine concern for the welfare of communities across Central Visayas have guided the region through both triumphs and challenges. His leadership has inspired many, and his presence has brought confidence and direction to every program, project, and response effort.

We extend our deepest gratitude for the unwavering dedication and service you have rendered. Your legacy of compassionate leadership will continue to influence and inspire the public health sector for years to come.

But allow for an hour for the whole appointment, which includes meeting with a friendly staff member before your donation and having a complimentary snack and drink after.
