BECOMING A DOCTOR IS NO LONGER A DREAM!

The dream of becoming a doctor remained a dream for many until Senator Joel Villanueva came along.

RA 11509 authored by Senator Joel Villanueva and signed into law in 2021 provides full medical scholarship with return service program to deserving students.

In Cebu, the program is now being offered in Cebu Normal University- Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center College of Medicine.

The scholarship covers:

a) Free tuition and other school fees;

(b) Allowance for prescribed books, supplies and equipment;

(c) Clothing or uniform allowance;

(d) Allowance for dormitory or boarding house accommodation;

(e) Transportation allowance;

(f) Internship fees, including financial assistance during mandatory internship;

(g) Medical board review fees;

(h) License fees;

(i) Annual medical insurance; and

(j) Other education-related miscellaneous subsistence or living allowances.
