Wind Signal No. 1 is in effect for northern & central Cebu, including Cebu City, with Signal No. 2 still up in some northern barangays.

Heavy rains expected due to Opong plus the enhanced southwest monsoon.

Possible flooding in low-lying areas and near rivers. Be alert for flash floods and landslides, especially in hilly or more exposed areas.

Precautionary Measures

Avoid unnecessary travel, especially via sea.

Secure loose items around homes. Trim trees or remove dead branches that might be blown by strong winds.

Stay indoors during periods of heavy rain or strong gusts.

Monitor updates from PAGASA and your local disaster risk reduction office. Be ready to evacuate if advised, especially if you are in a flood- or landslide-prone area.
