🩺 BRINGING CARE TO THE COMMUNITY 🦷

ICYMI: The Coast Guard Nursing Service Sub-Unit Central Visayas, together with Dental-CV, MEDS-CV personnel, and Seventh-Day Adventist, successfully deployed and participated during the Medical and Dental Mission conducted on May 1–3, 2026 at Madridejos, Bantayan Island, Cebu.

The activity provided essential healthcare services, including medical consultations, basic treatment, and dental procedures, benefiting residents of the community. The team worked efficiently to ensure that patients received proper care, health education, and immediate attention to their needs.

This mission reflects the continued dedication of the Coast Guard and its partners in extending accessible healthcare services to remote areas. HIGHLIGHTS: The Coast Guard Nursing Service Sub-Unit Central Visayas (NSSU-CV), together with MedS-CV personnel, successfully deployed a standby medical team during the BFAR 7 Coastal Clean-Up and Community Run last 18 April 2026 across identified coastal areas of Cordova, Cebu. The activity was participated in by various BFAR units in Cebu Province, CGDCV personnel, fisherfolk, and other stakeholders.

The medical team ensured the safety and well-being of all participants by providing immediate care for minor injuries, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining readiness for any medical emergencies throughout the event.

The community run started from SM Seaside and passed through the CCLEX route leading to the Municipality of Cordova, promoting physical fitness while raising awareness on environmental protection and coastal preservation.

This collaborative effort reflects the strong commitment of NSSU-CV and partner agencies in public health, safety, and environmental stewardship within the community.
