Here’s a look back at what made the 12ᵗʰ PSMID Midyear Convention truly meaningful.

Though few in number, the PSMID Cebu Chapter stood strong united by shared work, quiet resolve, and a commitment to deliver something special. This was a convention built on heart, not headcount. 💚

We’re also proud to have hosted a gathering where our guests could learn, engage, and unwind with no added pressure to perform. Just good food, open conversations, and a fellowship night designed to let everyone breathe. 💃

To all who joined us in Cebu thank you for the trust, the laughter, and the lessons. You made this milestone truly worth it. 🤗

The 12ᵗʰ PSMID Midyear Convention has officially concluded, and we extend our deepest thanks to everyone who made it a meaningful and memorable event.

To our exceptional speakers, thank you for delivering timely, relevant, and impactful insights that enriched every session. Your expertise shaped the tone of the convention and elevated the scientific discourse throughout.

To our delegates, your strong presence, thoughtful engagement, and commitment to learning were felt across all sessions. Your participation truly brought the convention to life.

To the Organizing Committee, your tireless work, attention to detail, and seamless coordination ensured a smooth and successful gathering from beginning to end.

We are also grateful to our partner sponsors for their continued support and collaboration. Your presence played a key role in helping us sustain the momentum of this important event.

This year, we welcomed a total of 517 registrants, composed of 455 physicians, 41 medical technologists, and 18 nurses. Among them, 67 participants registered onsite—a testament to the growing interest and relevance of our program.

From dynamic plenaries and the spirited Bug Bee Jeopardy, to a well-enjoyed Fellowship Night that reminded us of the value of community—this convention was not just a scientific meeting, but a celebration of 50 years of the PSMID Cebu Chapter.

🚨 LEPTOSPIROSIS ALERT |
🐀 With floodwaters rising across Cebu, leptospirosis is a serious threat.

⚠️ If you’ve waded in floodwater, especially with open wounds — you’re at risk.
🦠 The infection is caused by Leptospira bacteria from rat and animal urine.

🧑‍⚕️ Watch for these signs:
• High fever, chills, severe headaches
• Red eyes, jaundice (yellow skin/eyes)
• Muscle pain, rashes, vomiting, or diarrhea

🚑 Untreated cases may lead to kidney failure, brain inflammation, lung damage — even death.

✅ Leptospirosis is treatable. Don’t delay.
👉 Consult your doctor immediately if symptomatic.
